1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using DOZ, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. What DOZ is
DOZ is a digital marketplace and classifieds platform for Kurdistan and Iraq. We provide tools for sellers, service providers, factories, and vehicle owners to list what they offer, and for buyers to find and contact them. We are not a party to any transaction between a buyer and a seller.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. Do not share your account with others.
- You may hold only one account per person. Accounts may be disabled if they are used for abuse, impersonation, or fraud.
- You may change your name once every seven days. This limit protects against impersonation and reputation laundering.
4. Listings and content
- You may not list illegal goods, stolen items, counterfeit products, weapons, drugs, adult content, or anything prohibited by Iraqi or Kurdish law.
- All listings on DOZ — shops, services, jobs, factories, and vehicles — are reviewed by our team before appearing publicly. We may approve, reject with a reason, or remove any listing at our discretion.
- Images you upload must be your own, or used with permission. Do not upload copyrighted images without a license.
- Prices must be accurate. Misleading pricing, hidden fees, or bait listings are prohibited.
5. Buyer and seller responsibilities
If you are a buyer
- Verify the seller and the product before paying. Delivery is cash on delivery; inspect the item when it arrives.
- Provide accurate delivery information. Incorrect addresses can delay or cancel your order.
- Communicate respectfully with sellers. Harassment will result in account suspension.
If you are a seller
- Fulfill orders promptly and honestly. When an order is cancelled before delivery, the buyer must not be charged.
- Keep your stock counts accurate. Repeatedly cancelling orders because of incorrect stock may result in removal from the platform.
- Handle buyer data (names, phone numbers, addresses) confidentially and use it only for the order at hand.
6. Orders and payments
DOZ currently supports cash on delivery. You pay the delivery person when your order arrives. DOZ does not process card payments and does not hold funds on behalf of buyers or sellers.
Each shop is fulfilled separately. Delivery fees apply per shop and are waived for shops whose order subtotal exceeds the current free-delivery threshold. The threshold and fee are shown at checkout.
7. Reviews and messaging
- Reviews must reflect your genuine experience with a shop. Fake, paid-for, or retaliatory reviews are prohibited.
- You may post one review per shop. Reviews may be edited or deleted by you, and removed by DOZ if they violate these terms.
- Messages sent through DOZ may be read by DOZ administrators in the course of investigating abuse reports. Do not use messages for spam, harassment, or scams.
8. Prohibited conduct
- Impersonating another person or business.
- Attempting to bypass security, rate limits, or moderation.
- Scraping, crawling, or automating access to DOZ without permission.
- Publishing malware, phishing links, or deceptive redirects.
- Using DOZ to launder money or finance prohibited activities.
9. Account suspension and termination
We may suspend, disable, or delete your account — with or without notice — if you violate these terms, harm other users, or harm the platform. You may delete your own account at any time by contacting us.
10. Content ownership
You own the content you upload to DOZ (listings, images, reviews). By uploading, you grant DOZ a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, promote, and distribute that content on the platform. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
11. Disclaimers
DOZ is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no guarantees about the quality, legality, or outcome of any transaction between users.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DOZ and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including damages resulting from transactions with other users, delivery failures, or product defects. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid DOZ in the twelve months preceding the claim, if any.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of DOZ after changes constitutes acceptance.
